A taste of Princely Wines

- Specially designed by the “Count Dracula Treasures Ltd” and “The Company of Mysterious Journeys”


The target is Jidvei, the most prestigious Transylvanian vineyard

  • its collection of the wines of the ’50s and ‘60s, covered with moss;
  • the export wines of the Premiat type – enjoyed by Emperors, Kings, Voyvodes and Princes
  • 7-star cognac
  • the champagne of Jidvei – the finest in Romania

Jidvei is also the supplier of The House of Dracula – producing “The New Moon” (Riesling), “The Full Moon” (Oporto) and the “Moon Sonata” (Sauvignon) for the Count.


Day 1:

Depart to Sighisoara – the best preserved 15-century walled town in Europe, birthplace of Prince Vlad the Impaler-Dracula (1431). Visit the house in which he was born and tour mediaeval Sighisoara.

Dinner on Transylvanian specialties.

Overnight: Hotel in Sighisoara.

Optional: - the “Witch-trial” show, performed by 25 actors in period costumes. The script follows closely on the documents. Transylvania had its share of such trials. The last took place as late as 1753, in Targu Mures

Day 2:

Departure to Jidvei.

Cognac and wines. Champagne tasting in the Castle “Cetatea de Balta“ – filled with thousands of aging bottles of champagne, from the driest to the desert types.

  • Lunch in the castle.
  • Departure to Bucuresti.
